On Wednesday evening, we held a Q&A session with the stars of Leinster Rugby;Eoin Reddan, Sean O Brien and Ian Madigan to launch our campaign for the upcoming season “We Are Many, We are Leinster”. The event was hosted by Newstalk’s Joe Molloy with the audience made up of lucky competiton winners.
The session kick in a light hearted manner with Ian Madigan’s new haircut been the main subject matter which was followed by other topics such as what the players would have chosen as alternative career to rugby, Eoin Reddan went for an accountant and Mr. Madigan wanted to be a teacher and farmer Sean, well there was no surprise there.
This fun element continued through the night with other highlights including Ian Madigan stating Eoin Reddan, was one of the players he enjoyed watching as a kid growing up which a great reaction from the crowd and Sean O’Brien mimicking Madigan’s kicking routine.
Away from the jokes, there were some serious matters to discuss such as Ireland’s defeat to Argentina in the Rugby World Cup, and how the payers have tried to avoid the dreaded World Cup hangover. Interestingly Ian Madigan decided against a post World Cup holiday and stated he was eager to bring his good form into games with the province.
Getting back to club matters, Reddan urged fans not to get disheartened by the recent dip in form and that Friday nights game with Ulster has massive importance for the team looking to rebuild and get some much needed wins under their belt.
