Sports Born Street Worn
Whether you’re a dedicated fashion follower, or prefer to introduce just a hint of street-style into your wardrobe, there’s something for everyone at Life Style Sports this Christmas with the launch of the ‘Sports Born, Street Worn’ campaign instore and online at lifestylesports.com. Whether it’s dressing to make an urban style statement, hanging out with friends in town over the festive period, or lounging at home after one too many Christmas parties, this new clothing and footwear collection will see you through December and beyond.
From trainers to track tops, our Sports Born, Street Worn campaign is inspired by the evolution of sportwear into street wear. Starting with sports stars such as Michael Jordan and Stan Smith taking clothing and footwear from the courts to the street, the phenomenal popularity of sports inspired fashion has been more recently driven by contemporary icons such as Rita Ora, Kanye West and Rihanna, bringing street credibility and celebrity status to this unique sense of style.

As trend leaders in sports retail, our four new Fashion identities featured in the ‘Sports Born, Street Worn’ campaign look to harness the energy and innovation of sports performance while celebrating the authenticity and heritage of sports fashion. Starring UK based model Tyler Maher alongside top Irish model and street-style influencer Thalia Heffernan, the campaign showcases four key fashion identities: Trend, Terrace, Original Classics, and the Look of Running, offering an individual style solution for every customer this season.
Trend echoes the role music has played in the history of fashion, and the evolution of the trainer culture itself, with footwear styles intrinsically connected with different music movements throughout the decades such as Run DMC and the hip hop scene of the 1980s. Favourites such as the Nike Roshe Run (from €80) and adidas Originals ZX Flux (from €88) return in a host of new colour ways for both men and women this season at Life Style Sports. Other highlights include the adidas Originals Mens Graphic Hoody (€65) in a navy jersey material with a graphic logo print.
Finally, the Look of Running draws on timeless silhouettes such as the Nike Tech Fleece (from €95) and the Nike Windrunner Jacket (€75), bringing together the perfect balance of style, product innovation and comfort. The track born, street worn footwear is ideal for some off duty cool but don’t think about wearing styles such as the reinvented for the Look of Running Mens Nike Air Max Tavas (from €115) or the monochrome Womens Nike Air Max Thea (€110) on the track or field, you definitely don’t want to get these kicks scuffed!
With sportswear now worn on the streets, the Sports Luxe look is part of our everyday wardrobe and constantly spotted in street-style, on celebrities and for off-duty weekend attire
Courtney Smith, Ireland’s leading fashion stylist and influencer comments on the new campaign: ” With sportswear now worn on the streets, the Sports Luxe look is part of our everyday wardrobe and constantly spotted in street-style, on celebrities and for off-duty weekend attire. It’s the perfect combination of comfort and style with a sports heritage edge and Life Style Sports has this look spot on for Christmas with their new campaign, Sports Born, Street Worn. The four fashion identities of Trend, Terrace, Original Classics and Look of Running which they’ve created reflect this trend perfectly and really celebrate individual style”
